Symptom
I can login to my Nabu Casa Cloud account using my email address and password, but I cannot log in to Home Assistant.
Cause
Your Home Assistant login credentials are not the same as your Nabu Casa Cloud account credentials. The accounts have different functions:
- The Home Assistant login gives you access to your own, local Home Assistant server.
- The Nabu Casa Cloud account login allows you to manage your Nabu Casa account settings such as subscription, enable Home Assistant remote access, or enable Home Assistant cloud backup.

Resolution
To login to Home Assistant, enter your Home Assistant username (and not your email).
- If you forgot your Home Assistant username, follow the steps under forgot username.
- If you know your Home Assistant username but forgot the password, follow the steps under forgot password.
